Job Description:

Responsible for supporting more senior compliance professionals with maintaining and enhancing department or functional units in support of the overall compliance program components Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts monitoring and testing activities for financial crimes compliance and/or consumer compliance topics, including tests of controls and/or key regulatory risks, exception reporting, identification of process improvements to mitigate AML, UDAAP, Fair Lending, and other compliance risks, and/or tracking and trending of Elevated Complaints for DCC/EOCA, and other complaints analysis.

  • Assists more senior compliance professionals in evaluating the adequacy of, updating, and/or creating business policies, procedures, training and reference materials, system and manual processes with respect to regulatory requirements.

  • Communicates and collaborates with business partners in the first and second lines of defense regarding compliance risks and controls. 20% 1 - Critical Assists Lead Specialists, Principals, Managers or Senior Manager in discrete portions of larger projects.

  • Maintains a high level of awareness and knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and assisting in the identification of compliance risks and escalates issues to senior compliance management as identified.

  • Supports the business in operationalizing legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Assists in obtaining and developing content for presentations to the Compliance Committee or Compliance Sub-Committees (e.g., AML Oversight Committee, Fair and Responsible Banking Committee, Privacy Committee).

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, audit, law, or risk management

  • In lieu of education, 6+ years experience in compliance, audit, law or risk management experience

Bonus Points If You Have

  • 4+ years of experience in compliance, audit, law, or risk management

  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
