Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsible for the strategic development of communications, program management, and events. Develops and delivers messages to employees. Expands the company's use of digital capabilities. Executes employee engagement activities and team events including: town halls, award ceremonies, business meetings, employee celebrations, and volunteer events. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the visual design, development, implementation and evolution of visual storytelling materials.

  • Leads the design and execution of event planning including recognition events, town halls, volunteer days, and leadership meetings. Identifies opportunities for process improvements. Leads improvement initiatives through approval processes and implementation.

  • Develops and executes communication strategies to drive culture, awareness, and engagement across the organization.

  • Provides communication support and responses for events, announcements, and business meetings. Leads the online management and communication of internal intranet sites including: content development, updates, and the identification of opportunities to increase engagement.

  • Manages vendor relationships and negotiates service terms and agreements.

  • Leads the organization and execution of business meetings.

  • Coordinates and communicates the status of business activities across teams.

  • Resolves resource needs, schedules collisions, and other issues to ensure the delivery of projects.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration and Management, or related

  • Work experience with 2 years in large scale event planning and communications

  • In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in event planning, communications or relationship management

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:

  • Presentation visual design skills

  • 4+ years of Event planning, Communication or relationship management

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
