Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and production equipment. This position is responsible for:

  1. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment and facilities, using diagnostic tools and techniques.

  2. Preventive Maintenance: Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates efficiently and to minimize downtime.

  3. Repairs and Modifications: Conducting repairs on machinery and equipment, as well as making modifications or upgrades to enhance performance and safety.

  4. Compliance and Safety: Adhering to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, including GMPs and SOPs, to ensure a safe working environment.

  5. Documentation: Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to track equipment performance and compliance.

  6. Collaboration: Working closely with production teams and other maintenance staff to address equipment issues promptly and support production goals.

  7. Training and Development: Continuously updating skills and knowledge related to new technologies, equipment, and maintenance practices.

  8. JOB TYPE:

  9. Full-time

  10. COMPENSATION:

  11. Pay range $34.35 per hour.

  12. Swing and graveyard wage differentials.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education:

  2. High school diploma, vocational training, or a related field is preferred.

  3. Certifications or experience in HVAC, refrigeration, desired but not required.

  4. Experience:

  5. 2-3 years of experience in facility and production maintenance environment.

  6. Experience with boilers, chillers, & refrigeration systems desired but not required.

  7. Technical Skills:

  8. Experience with conveyor systems, including, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  9. Knowledge of case erecting and folding systems, including operation and repair.

  10. Safety Knowledge:

  11. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards. (LOTO) Lock Out tag out Arc Flash Desired.

  12. Problem-Solving Abilities:

  13. Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues related to electro/mechanical systems and perform root cause analysis on equipment failures.

  14. Physical Requirements:

  15. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50Lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks.

  16. Communication Skills:

  17. Effective verbal and written communication skills

  18. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  19. Tools and Equipment:

  20. Own basic hand tool and be proficient with power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  21. Ability to navigate through a computer and MS Office.

  22. Familiarity with (CMMS), MVP is a plus.

  23. Attention to Detail:

  24. Strong attention to detail in completing tasks and documenting maintenance.

  25. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.

  26. Teamwork and Collaboration:

  27. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  28. Willingness to assist and train others as needed.
