Position Summary
This is a part-time, program manager position whose responsibilities include teaching, advising, recruiting, and directing the Clinical Exercise Physiology ( CEP ) master’s degree program. The person has an educational background and professional experience in the exercise science field.
Responsibilities
Teach one class per semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) in the CEP program as assigned (60%).
Advise graduate students (15%).
Recruit students to the program (15%).
Direct and oversee CEP program operations, including budget management (10%).
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Qualifications Required:
Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or closely related field.
A minimum of two (2) years experience in a clinical cardiac rehabilitation program.
Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations and ability to contribute to the University’s commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages.
Demonstrated ability to advise and mentor students.
Qualifications Preferred:
A minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at the college level preferred.
ACSM or AACVPR certification in clinical exercise physiology is preferred.
