Position Summary

This is a part-time, program manager position whose responsibilities include teaching, advising, recruiting, and directing the Clinical Exercise Physiology ( CEP ) master’s degree program. The person has an educational background and professional experience in the exercise science field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach one class per semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) in the CEP program as assigned (60%).

  • Advise graduate students (15%).

  • Recruit students to the program (15%).

  • Direct and oversee CEP program operations, including budget management (10%).

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Qualifications Required:

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or closely related field.

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a clinical cardiac rehabilitation program.

  • Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations and ability to contribute to the University’s commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages.

  • Demonstrated ability to advise and mentor students.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • A minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at the college level preferred.

  • ACSM or AACVPR certification in clinical exercise physiology is preferred.
