- Be registered full-time for the respective semester – nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.

We seek applicants who are dedicated to servingThe University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’sstudent body as aGraduate Assistant InstructorofHealth and Human Performancebeginning in the 2024-2025 academic year. Faculty will be required to teach in a classroom or laboratory as assigned and appropriate. Will be expected to integrate next-generation technology and customized student learning to maximize student success. Given that UTRGV is a distributed campus, may be required to teach online or hybrid courses or teach at different locations.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in exercise with the experience and qualifications that meet SACSCOC and other departmental/college accreditation requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate and graduate research experience in exercise science.
