General Purpose This position provides access of quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external data sources to business unites through dashboards, queries, reports or other visual presentations. Works with business units to determine requirements of data and present output that can be utilized to direct business unit decisions. Consults with business units to identify data sources, required data elements, and data validation standards. Collaborates with business units to design business intelligence presentations form ad-hoc report to Microsoft Power BI dashboards. Analyzes data from disparate databases or data sources to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights to identify trends or anomalies. Evaluates existing business units reports and recommend new technologies or enhancements that have the potential to improve a business unit information for data driven decisions. Coordinate with business units for testing, quality assurance and ensure functionality of dashboards or other presentations are acceptable. Uses advanced techniques, theories, and processes to complete work. Participates in the development of the organizations long-term technology strategy. Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of this position. Other Duties/Responsibilities Works closely with all business units throughout the bank. Work closely other Information technology teams and business units to resolve any issue in a timely and professional manner. Complete training to stay current on recent technology. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Duties (if any): May lead or direct the work of other employees. May coach staff, prepare and deliver performance evaluations. May develops customized career progression paths for direct reports. Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job. Job Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Fabric for database design, query and reporting. Working knowledge of SQL scripting. Leadership, creativity, and judgment. Analytical thinking. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Ability to foster teamwork. Communications skills with the ability to work diplomatically and skillfully. Ability to make informed decisions at level of responsibly. Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms. Problem-solving and critical thinking. Ability to work with multiple business units, utilizing technology as the bridge between them. Project management. Education or Formal Training: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent industry certifications. Two or more years working with Microsoft Power BI. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver's License is required. Experience: 5 years' experience as business analyst or business Intelligence. Working Conditions Working Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Travel to conferences, meetings and branch locations on a regular basis may be necessary. Additional requirements include semi-annual disaster recovery testing and occasional application updates on weekends or evenings. May include on-call, after hours and weekends support when needed. Physical Activities: These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
