GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR SUMMARY:

We deliver our product for the customers located on the East Coast and North Eastern states. The job consists of overnight trips in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and D.C. The pay will be a combination of hourly and per mile.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • May drive tractor-trailer or straight truck making deliveries tolong-distance customers (Manual and/or automated transmission).
  • Inspecting vehicles pre and post trips as required by DOT and communicating if repairs are required
  • Maintaining ELD (electronic logs) using device provided
  • Securing material before moving loads
  • Assist in unloading of material (may consist of manual assistance or boom)
  • Checking counts of material for accuracy
  • Checking material for damages
  • Planning routes and delivery schedules with Shipping Supervisor
  • Obtain authorizations for pickups not pre-approved
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATIONAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
  • CLASS A CDL License
  • Clean driving record with at least 2 years of experience
  • Have experience in driving manual transmission
  • Must have good communication skills and people skills
  • Basic computer skills
