Description
- This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site.
This role is responsible for facilitating and implementing the overall national strategy, design, development, tactics, communication, coordination, and execution of pull/push-through for a Therapeutic Area, with particular focus on our largest, national payor accounts. The Director, Payor Solutions will provide oversight and guidance to the Associate Director to support this facilitation. This includes cross-functional collaboration with Field/Payor Sales and Brand leaders, project management, customer experience, deployment and operational integrity of resources necessary to capitalize on account opportunities, and identification and/or execution of projects that have immediate impact on the business and improves customer experience. They will work with Payor Sales account leads to support the development and execution of account-specific pull/push through plans, providing input into the account-level strategy consistent with the overarching push/pull-through strategy. The Associate Director will commit significant time and focus to ensuring execution of strategies to achieve objectives. The Associate Director will collaborate with Director, Payor Solutions, peers and extended team members to assess and discover solutions to complex business opportunities. This role will also be responsible for developing and implementing personal and non-personal promotional efforts in support of access messaging, which includes aligning with Brand and Payor Access Marketing and managing multiple third-party agency relationships. Additionally, he/she will assure alignment of all promotional activities to the brand positioning and messaging, ensuring maximum push/pull-through effectiveness. A close working relationship with Analytics ' Insights is required for this role to integrate appropriate data-driven insights and measurement approaches. This role must maintain a developing understanding of both national and regional issues evolving in the managed markets channels and accounts (Medicare, Medicaid, Federal, MCO, Employer and PBM). Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible as the primary pull/push-through and access messaging point for a given TA, leading the strategy and implementation through proactive planning and timely execution for key Access-related opportunities and market landscape.
With limited autonomy, responsible for the roll out of TA AIM Priorities to Payor and Field Sales teams, in accordance with the AIM process.
With oversight from Director, Payor Solutions partners with Brand and Payor Access Marketing, Field Sales and Payor Sales Leadership, Payor Account Teams, and multiple teams and leadership at all levels within both Analytics ' Insights and Human Pharma Operations, to identify, plan for, and execute against key TA pull/push through opportunities. Where appropriate, liaison with alliance counterparts, to ensure consistent approaches are implemented.
Cultivate relationships across Payor Sales teams for added input to AIM deliverables, ongoing performance management and collaborative sub-national execution of national pull/push through strategies.
Responsible for implementation of access messaging strategy, resources, and tactics aligned to brand objectives and CSFs in the current IBP/ICP.
Collaborates with brand and account teams to develop competitive strategy and messaging for both personal and non-personal promotional resources, working with agency partners and leading through the HPRC approvals process.
Key contributor to development of pull/push through and access messaging insights that feed future IBP/ICP creation, with input from the Director, Payor Solutions
Responsible as a contributing team member for annual IBP/ICP process to secure funding for promotional activities related to brand budget focused on supporting TA AIM implementation.
With appropriate guidance, effectively manage projects, proactively organizing strategies and tactics/activities, and prioritizing efforts to fully exploit greatest potential based upon marketplace trends, specific Account opportunities and BI business needs.
Leads investment discussions and opportunity evaluation, and coordinates resource allocation to opportunities within assigned TA, with oversight of Senior Associate Director or Director.
Manages departmental resources to include: financial expenditures, promotional materials, educational materials, and multiple third-party agency partners focused on access messaging and pull/push through activities.
May be responsible for additional market access-related projects as assigned.
Develop and execute company priorities to maximize access investments with key customers (HCP/patients) with responsibility for strategy development, execution, measurement and process improvement to enhance impact.
Requirements
Associate Director Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
MBA from an accredited institution preferred.
Proven strategic abilities with five-plus (5+) year's experience, including three-plus (3+) in pharmaceutical industry and including two-plus (2+) years in either brand marketing experience, Sales Leadership, or Market Access experience. Related experience in strategic marketing roles (five-plus (5+) total years) will be considered.
Developing understanding of the distribution channels for pharmaceutical products, managed markets and government entities.
Demonstrated people collaboration and teamwork skills.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to access and influence various functional areas, and motivate groups to action through team building.
Developing project management experience/skills and or progressing toward certification/coursework in project management.
Must be familiar with the market access landscape and maximizing opportunity based payor landscape to meet brand and organizational objectives for access, profitability and brand share performance.
Demonstrated results-focused and team oriented.

Sr. Associate Director Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required

Proven strategic abilities with seven-plus (7+) years of experience, including five-plus (5+) years in pharmaceutical industry and including two-plus (2+) years in either brand marketing experience, Sales Leadership, or Market Access experience.

Demonstrated people collaboration and teamwork skills.

Understanding and demonstrated ability to apply core marketing principles to address key business questions and opportunities.
