Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves being in charge of accounting operations such as reconciliations, journal entries, tax preparations, and reporting. This position does not require a CPA certification but proficiency in Microsoft Excel and internal systems are crucial.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Prepare and review journal entries and maintain the General Ledger.

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures efficiently.

• Prepare and process tax payments and reports.

• Use software tools such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to process and analyze data.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.

• Collaborate with the finance department to support overall department goals and objectives.

• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Respond to inquiries from the director of finance, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is mandatory

• Demonstrated experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management

• Ability to make accurate Journal Entries

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks

• Experience in executing Month End Close activities

• Knowledge of NetSuite financial software

• Proficiency in using Oracle financial software

• Experience in using SAP for financial operations
