Description This is an exciting opportunity to join our full time contract Practice! Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a high profile regulatory reporting project to successful conclusion. In depth knowledge Public Sector reporting requirements, ability to analyze current process flow and make recommendations on reporting format and content are the top priorities for this position. Requirements Include 5+ years of Governmental or Public Accounting experience, highly organized, detail oriented, and experience managing in a high volume, transactional environment.

Responsibilities: • Work with internal departments to ensure all relevant data are captured completely and accurately for reporting purposes • Handle financial reporting and analysis of format and content for reporting • Ensure financial compliance with grant requirements. • Perform periodic audits to ensure transparency and compliance. • Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Fund Accounting, Grant Accounting, Budgeting, Budgeting - Forecasting, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Excel. Requirements

• Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the government sector. • Proficiency in operational accounting processes • Proven experience audit and compliance a must • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Excel tools is essential. • A deep understanding of financial laws and regulatory requirements in the Public Sector required • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is a must. • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary. • Ability to work in a team and to collaborate effectively with other departments is essential. • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity are required. • Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively is required. • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations.
