Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior Accountant works with our professional accounting staff and management team members in recording, reconciling, and auditing accounting data. This role requires the ability to efficiently manage workload and prioritize tasks to ensure that all deadlines are met. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with the current accountant and bookkeepers throughout the other divisions.
Responsibilities
Invoice entry and processing.
Producing and analyzing financial reports.
Reviewing financial reports for trends, performance metrics, and benchmarks.
Preparing balance sheets.
Handling quarterly reporting and month-end reconciliations.
Working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
Working directly with the CFO and CEO.
Participating in ad-hoc projects as necessary.
Essential Skills
Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
Experience in reconciling bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and solve problems.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with general ledger, balance sheet, income statement, financial reporting, finance analysis, and reconciliation.
Experience with journal entry, accounts payable, and audit processes.
QuickBooks experience.
Strong Excel knowledge including Vlookups and Hlookups.
B.S. or M.S. in Accounting or a related field.
Work Environment
The position requires working onsite at the office in Richmond. You will be working under the supervision of the senior accountant and collaborating with the Accounts Payable team. The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
