About the role:

As a Plant Manager, you will lead the management team in our chemical (batch processing) manufacturing plant and report into our Director, Manufacturing. We will rely on you for all aspects of the plant operation including culture and leadership, ensuring development of personnel within the facility. You will be responsible for the P&L, inventory management, process improvement, safety, and regulatory compliance.

This position is a fully on-site position in Ashland, VA, (just 15 minutes from our Headquarters!) Monday through Friday with some overtime and weekends as business needs require. The position has been posted in several locations for marketing purposes but just one role is available.

Day-to-day you will:

  • Manage shipping, receiving, manufacturing, inventory, and maintenance

  • Collaborate with all functional areas within Operations, Human Resources, Sales, IT and Corporate as needed

  • Develop and/or oversee capital improvement projects; Budget and Contractor Management controlling costs to achieve budget goals

  • Regularly interface with the sales team to resolve inventory, production, or shipment issues and to ensure customer needs are consistently being met; handle procurement needs as they arise

  • Continually drive efficiency and improvement within the operation utilizing data analysis and reporting

  • Manage daily operations in our plant facility through the use of the Veralto Enterprise System (VES)

  • Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility, testing and monitoring plant processes, and remaining in compliance with facility ISO standards and all HSE guidelines

  • Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports

  • Maintain all administrative records and develop Information Systems

Are you qualified?

  • 5-10 years of Industrial Management/Leadership Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools

  • Proven success leading and developing teams

  • Experience with environmental management systems; quality management systems; hazardous waste operations and response; hazardous material transportation regulations

  • Experience working in an ISO environment

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
