POSITION PURPOSE: The Electrical Maintenance Manager will develop work plans and manage maintenance projects and records as well as spend time out in the areas of plant operations to study systems and equipment and develop work plans. The Electrical Maintenance Manager will direct the plant E&I Technicians and participate directly in maintenance work execution work plans.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Management of employees, materials, spare-parts, and supplies to support efficient and effective maintenance projects for Maintenance Department and Operations Department

  • Prepare detailed job schedules, providing fully developed work plans for projects and environmental compliance issues

  • Coordinate labor, parts, materials tools/equipment and access to the equipment

  • Job planning includes estimates for labor and materials, reporting on performance against goals/estimates, maintaining records of maintenance execution, equipment histories and equipment parts usage, logistical requirements

  • Manages Maintenance Projects outsourced to mechanical or electrical vendors and CMMS database

  • Develop MV and LV switching orders and supervise MV and LV electrical switching.

  • Oversee MV Substation and breaker maintenance procedures, testing and evaluating test results.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Technical or trade school graduate

  • 4 years' experience supervising a in plant, building, or large facility as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Planner/Scheduler

  • 2 years' experience leading or supervising a small team of technicians

  • Demonstrated experience with instrumentation + control systems for Plant Operations

  • Experience in a plant, building, or facility maintenance background

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Supervisory experience as a Maintenance Manager in Energy & Utilities or Engineering Services.

  • Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office

  • Ability to prioritize workload, be detail oriented in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment

  • Requires excellent time management, organization and prioritization capability and excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Knowledgeable in 12 KV power distribution, substations, breakers and components.

  • Understanding of Doble software and testing setup.
