Job Title: Inventory Associate

Job Description

The candidate will work in the receiving area as raw materials come in and may also assist in shipping. The role involves maintaining and managing the tracking system for incoming products and their storage/transfer to various departments via a manual Project Management system. The candidate will enter all product data into a tracking program similar to Excel, inspect and report all non-conforming products as they are unloaded, and provide data analysis to management on inventory location and retrieval.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the receiving area to manage incoming raw materials.

  • Assist in shipping operations as needed.

  • Maintain and manage the tracking system for incoming products and raw aluminum materials.

  • Enter product data into a program similar to Excel for tracking purposes.

  • Inspect and report all non-conforming products upon unloading.

  • Monitor and manipulate data to provide information to plant manager and department managers.

  • Operate a forklift and pallet jack for unloading trucks and delivering materials to the plant floor.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cycle counts, inventory tracking, Excel usage, receiving, customer service, and overall inventory management.

  • High proficiency in Excel and data/inventory tracking.

  • Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, inventory control, cycle counting, material handling, shipping and receiving, and logistics.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance, sheet metal, assembly, mechanical, packaging, SAP, clerical tasks, RF scan gun, Microsoft Office, and warehouse packing.

  • Customer service skills and the ability to perform general labor tasks.

  • Previous experience as a Team Lead is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
