THE WORK:

  • You'll coordinate with subject-matter experts and Permit Managers to ensure compliance with environmental requirements and approvals during data center construction

  • You'll manage environmental and construction consultants for site delivery, including inspections, reporting, and compliance advice.

  • You'll identify and mitigate construction-related environmental issues such as stormwater, wetlands, endangered species, and air compliance.

  • You'll support regulatory agency, stakeholder, and community engagement activities for new data center builds, including preparing and submitting AHJ reports/inspections.

  • You'll develop and implement environmental risk and compliance mitigations for data center construction.

  • You'll manage environmental compliance planning and execution for pre-construction activities and operational turnover.

  • You’ll work with internal and external stakeholders (incl. General Contractor and Owner/Operator) to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, ordinances, guidelines, standards, and permit requirements (Environmental Requirements)

  • You'll conduct onsite field inspections of in-flight data center builds regularly within assigned region and report project status regularly

  • You'll act as the environmental representative to external stakeholders and perform onsite field inspections and offsite report development.

  • You’ll identify and mitigate issues that occur during construction related to any of the following: stormwater, wetlands, streams (CWA 404/401), threatened and endangered species, cultural resources, buffers, tree preservations, and air compliance. Assistance and coordination with permitting teams to deliver construction requested permit modifications.

  • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent

  • 5+ years of environmental permitting or compliance and approvals experience in America, including management of environmental impact assessments, acquisition of permits, and cultural and ecological surveys and approvals.

  • 5+ years of program and project management experience in America, including permit timeline development, cross coordination amongst disciplines, contracting and leading consultant teams, driving deliverables to the business, etc.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Have specific knowledge of environmental permitting programs and requirements including, but not limited to air quality, threatened and endangered species, CWA 404/401 permitting, stormwater construction general permits, SPCC, RCRA, etc.

  • Have a strong background in project management and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomes

  • Have a working knowledge of remedial investigations, remediation strategies and execution, site conceptual models and site management plans.

  • Experience in construction and operational environmental compliance and experience working through environmental permitting and compliance in multiple markets.

  • Have ability to follow construction schedules, and identify compliance risks and mitigation

  • Work well within a fast-paced organization who is a self-starter, process-minded, and collaborative.
