About The Opportunity
The Facilities Management Department has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic – Int., reporting to the Building Services Supervisor.
The Facilities Management Department is looking for a coachable, dependable, self-motivated, self-starter individual to join our Maintenance Mechanic team. In this role you will be part of a team that is dedicated to safety, quality workmanship, and service in performing light maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance in the Richmond location. This opportunity provides consistent hours and is for the 2nd shift. Qualified individuals must be willing to work 2:30pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for completing maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Perform general maintenance duties such as:
Fixing wall and floor coverings
Replacing interior light bulbs
Installing simple office furniture, room setups for conferences, meetings and events
Transporting of confidential documents for shredding
Removing trash and litter, high dusting of exterior lights and fixtures.
Assists with painting, power washing, and refurbishing projects.
Participates in snow and ice removal and other inclement weather clean up.
Conducts preventive maintenance on equipment and fixtures.
Assists with housekeeping functions as needed.
Performs tasks generated from routine building inspection punch lists.
Assigned tasks and duties are performed in compliance to OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience with painting and drywall finishing.
Experience in handling and operating pressure washing equipment.
1-3 years of related building maintenance experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficient ability with personal computers and MS office, Outlook and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
Vocational or technical experience.
Prior experience working 2nd shift.

The hiring range of this position is $45,000 - $62,000 annually.
Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
