Please review the following job description:

Oversee first line control testing for all Truist data management controls. Manage a team of control testers to ensure adherence to testing deadlines and Enterprise Risk Management Internal Controls Policy and Procedure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Oversee the annual testing schedule for all Truist data management controls by managing testers to complete testing by established testing deadlines

  • Review testing workpapers and providing feedback to control testers for test of design and test of operating effectiveness

  • Set expectations and provide training to control testers to ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness expectations are met

  • Partner with GCO Risk Advisors and GCO Issue Validation teams to plan and schedule testing for controls associated with issues

  • As needed, aggregate, conclude, and communicate testing results

  • Effectively communicate to peers the data control inventory and testing scope

  • Support teammate growth and development plans, provide necessary coaching, feedback and access to learn opportunities to enable teammates to succeed in their career journeys. Recognize and celebrate growth and development successes.

  • Communicates in an open, candid, clear, and consistent manner. Communicates effectively with internal clients. Listens effectively. Displays diplomacy and effectively influences others

  • Know the Enterprise Data Management policies and procedures to understand the Truist data control landscape

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and ten years of experience managing complex IT projects or equivalent education and related training or experience

  • Demonstrated experience in project management/delivery teams

  • Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services

  • Knowledge of technology structures that incorporate variable staffing evolving platforms, cost and value arbitrage value propositions. Knowledge of business process reengineering and operations

  • Broad view of how industry and technology changes impact technology and client experience through digital channels. Strong business acumen and domain expertise in the assigned portfolio. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure

  • Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities. Ability to influence and negotiate to enable agreement on scope, cost, and schedules

  • Ability to manage a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocation

  • Functional and technical knowledge of Data, Analytics and Client data capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, technical discipline, Master's degree or MBA, or eight years of progressive experience managing complex IT projects

  • Banking or financial services experience

  • CPA, CISA or CIA preferred

  • Well-versed in managing distributed teams comprised of both onshore and offshore
