We are seeking a Business System Architect, who will focus on Atlassian platform and support end-users of our Atlassian enterprise cloud-instance to ensure optimal functionality of our systems. This position requires demonstrated Jira/Jira Service Management (JSM)/Confluence experience to support application-level configurations and management of data for its cloud-based instance of Atlassian products.

  • Responsibilities:*

    • Manage and support Atlassian Jira, JSM, and Confluence platforms, including user management, permission schemes, workflows, and configurations.
    • Provide technical support to end-users through ServiceNow, resolving issues and answering inquiries.
    • Develop and deliver custom solutions and integrations utilizing REST APIs to extend the functionality and reporting on Atlassian products to meet our requirements.
    • Document and maintain best practices regarding processes, procedures, and configurations related to Jira and Confluence administration and support.
    • Analyze, review and document application usage to perform data cleanup and archival.
    • Collaborate directly with multiple teams to understand needs and accordingly provide recommendations in workflows, configurations, and reporting requirements.
    • Create and maintain documentation on best practices, standard operating procedures, and usage guidelines using videos, ppt, PDF, etc.
    • Actively support the advancement of organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and apply diversity, equity, and inclusion lens across job responsibilities.
    • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Functional Knowledge (Preferred):

  • Experience managing an Atlassian environment using agile and project management methodologies and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Jira configuration, administration, and customization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Ability to train and support users effectively, including content creation and presentation.

Position Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience: o With the Atlassian product suite, including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management (JSM). o Administering user permissions and security settings to ensure appropriate access levels. o Supporting 3rd party add-ons (i.e., Custom Charts, Comala, Draw.io, etc.) and integrations to enhance Jira functionality. o Writing JQL queries and Jira Dashboards. o Creating Jira workflows, fields, screens, and schemes. o Working with Atlassian Jira Service Management (JSM). o Writing APIs.

As a federal government contractor, all staff working in our central ITS group with access to corporate computer systems are required to successfully undergo a background investigation or security clearance as a condition of employment.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $90,000 - $125,000. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance. To apply, please submit a cover letter (optional), resume, location preference, and salary expectations.
