JOB SUMMARY: Open/Close Building. Greet, assist, and direct the public to the appropriate person or department as their need requires. Ensure there is an efficient and professional system of processing incoming calls, voice mails, and emails. Maintain a general knowledge of County programs to better assist and direct the public with their needs. Perform clerical duties including vehicle reservations, conference room reservation, and operate various software systems. Maintains confidentiality in handling of all matters.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides professional and courteous assistance to the public. Greet and direct County employees, vendors, and contractors to the appropriate person or department. Respond to incoming telephone inquiries, voicemails and emails in a timely professional manner. Perform clerical duties such as word processing, filing, scanning and emailing of documents. Operate various software systems and office equipment. Receive and prepare interoffice and regular mail for delivery. Maintain conference room scheduling and vehicle reservation calendar. Maintain bulletin board display and public literature throughout Rosenberg Annex. Post approved signage for County holiday closings and other events as needed. Maintain building security and lights at the open and close of each day of the building each day. Assist administrative Coordinator and Administrative Assistant and other Admin staff as needed. Participate in activities and duties related to community events, emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers. Perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director of HHS and HHS Administrative Assistant Team.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED. 2 years of job related experience, medical or health care office experience. Excellent skills in use and management of PBX system and office equipment.

Job No: 2024-5675 Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, scanning and presentation software. Strong typing skills (minimum 35 wpm). Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees. Valid Texas Driver's License to travel to community events.

Bilingual preferred (English-Spanish).

SALARY RANGE: $15.00 - $17.53 hourly based on qualifications
