About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Blue Grass Army Depot, KY. This position serves as a Production/Administrative Assistant (OA) perform a wide variety of complex administrative duties. Responsibilities Maintains accountability and production documents for distribution. Serves as Training Coordinator Assistant for Directorate. Recommends time keeping corrective actions for organization. Uses a variety of automated systems to prepare documents for organization. Performs timekeeper duties within the Army Time and Attendance Production System (ATAAPS). Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes using office automation systems to accomplish work; maintaining administrative files; and Prepares correspondence for management. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes maintaining a timekeeping database; processing travel orders, and/or preparing purchase orders; process various personnel actions. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Making Manages and Organizes Information Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-5/6). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Position is eligible for situational telework only determined by agency policy. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) General Administration and Management Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Management may select at any of the grade levels announced. If selected for a developmental grade level, this recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition (non-competitive promotion potential). Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
