Job Description

General Purpose

Perform administrative activities to maintain proper support and services to the operation of the maintenance department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with equipment manufacturers and maintenance staff on set up of preventive maintenance tasks and spare parts inventory for supported equipment

  • Coordinate, track, and maintain all work orders

  • Close corrective and preventive maintenance work orders upon completion and include pertinent information for equipment files

  • Maintain up-to-date library of machine manuals, prints, and schematics

  • Data enter procurement and inventory records by appropriate category (e.g., account, cost center, project)

  • Print and/or provide corrective work orders, preventive maintenance work orders, and parts automatic orders on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis

  • Generate a variety of reports for management (e.g., back-order, inventory, productivity reports)

  • Assist in ordering and receiving of maintenance related parts and materials; process purchase orders

  • Track maintenance spending

  • Assist in the coordination of incoming contractors

  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues

  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 to 3 years clerical, production, or general work experience

  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems

  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision

  • Able to multi-task

  • Able to take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment

  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
