Job Summary:

Develops and oversees the short-term and long-term enterprise application planning to partner with executive leadership on technology and business guidance. Ensures the management of application services and directs the success of major projects for this area. Ensures that systems are coordinated internally and with the owners and partners. Facilitates a customer-centric approach to technology decision making and services. Fosters the integration of information technology capabilities throughout the organization. Develops short- and long-term IT goals and plans for assigned area ensuring the alignment with broader organizational priorities. Utilizes metrics and organization vision to lead and direct IT activities. Please note this is a hybrid role, with preference given to candidates that live within/relocate to the St. Louis, MO, Madison, WI or Oklahoma City areas.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Health System and other IT Executives to optimize the tools to support the overall technical strategy of the organization and clinical program development of our customer focused population health strategies.

  • Work in partnership with business owners and IT Executives to ensure an effective application portfolio for the system. Represents IT on various System governance functions.

  • Plans for future growth and capabilities for meeting the needs of the organization. Establishes principles, standards and policies relative to enterprise applications in order to successfully integrate and implement IT applications across the system.

  • Ensures resource management function is achieving goals to meet the goals to balance customer projects needs and services.

  • Oversees the direction of cross-functional teams to ensure the planning for success of all projects. Ensures major projects are delivered in a manner to meet the success criteria set with the sponsors, as well as being on-time and on-budget.

  • Reviews and directs planning, design, implementation and support of IT tools within the application space, and works collaboratively in planning and design of cross-functional tools and projects

  • Oversees the human resource management for applications areas, creating a culture of inclusion, engagement and transparency, and ensuring communication. Promotes team building and collaboration. Motivates, encourages and empowers staff to achieve personal, team and organizational goals. Recognizes staff and accomplishments.

  • Provides financial and administrative oversight. Reviews authorizes and prioritizes capital and operating expenditures. Develops and oversees capital and operating budgets, including resource management/position control.

  • Promotes quality and productivity improvements through involvement in the development of improved procedures, process innovations and changes which support the organization’s strategic direction.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and regulatory standards of compliance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Master's degree

Experience

  • Fifteen years' experience, with five years' in direct people management/leadership
