As an R&D Chemist in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include knowledge of various areas which may include laboratory instrumentation, process monitors, radwaste operations, or effluents. The R&D Chemist will work under minimum supervision and provide technical work in primarily wet lab chemistry. May prepare technical reports based on the interpretation of analyzed data. *Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to identify and resolve chemistry-related problems, recommend solutions, and track resolution progress. * Working in conjunction with engineers and other experts to safely design, perform and report wet lab chemistry tests. *Accumulate, analyze, interpret, and report data to management to provide a technical assessment of current operational status. *Ability to coordinate and collaborate in English with international colleagues in Germany and France. *Maintain and operate the R & D Lab (two separate rooms) at Richland, WA site. * Maintaining a neat and organized laboratory and following Safety Procedures / Good Lab Practices to ensure the safe generation of high quality and reliable data.
