Job Responsibilities/Duties

Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) seeks a Project Manager who will manage the tasks and milestones associated with the Core Procedures organization. The Project Manager will cultivate business relationships as it pertains to improving and/or advancing processes, technology, and services. They will proactively work with customers and stakeholders to determine needs, objectives, and strategies. This position will be responsible for all aspects of planning and implementation of assigned projects.

The Project Manager's responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Under minimal administrative direction, applies an extensive and diversified knowledge of Project Management principles and practices in assignments and related work.

  • Acts as a fully competent project manager in all conventional aspects of managing small to medium organizational projects and interfacing with company level capital improvements or facility/infrastructure upgrade projects from initiation through closeout in accordance with quality standards and requirements.

  • Makes decisions independently.

  • Demonstrates interpolative thinking, utilizes advanced techniques, modifications, or extensions to practiced theories, and is generally seasoned technically.

  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • May function as lead Project Manager on a task force or special assignments.

  • Contributes to development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones.

  • Must be able to communicate to peers, management, and customers clearly and concisely.

  • Must take prompt action to accomplish assigned objectives and understand/identify issues and opportunities.

  • Comply with WRPS policies and procedures.

  • Ensure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization's activities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Grade 19:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field (project management, construction management, engineering or other project related discipline) and 9 years of related experience (project execution, engineering, or construction experience), or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Grade 20:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field (project management, construction management, engineering or other project related discipline) and 10 years of related experience (project execution, engineering, or construction experience), or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

**Essential duties for these grade levels are similar to that of the previous grade levels, however the scope of responsibility and size and complexity of project(s) managed may be larger.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and Primavera.

  • Familiar with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.

  • Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

  • Certified as a Procedure Professionals Association (PPA).

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Minimum: $114,475

Hiring Range Maximum: $158,875
