Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Manager position will manage projects and programs, including planning, scheduling, and activity control. The role involves leading project teams of more than ten people on complex, multidiscipline initiatives, requiring strong leadership and prioritization skills. The manager will oversee project budgets, collaborate with finance and project controls, and mentor other project managers. A broad knowledge of new technologies and industry trends is essential, along with proficiency in all aspects of project management to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $63.44 - $95.73

Responsibilities:
- Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work, ensuring safe, quality implementation on schedule and within budget.
- Oversee staff involved in planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring project activities.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking costs versus budget for assigned projects.
- Develop work packages, parts procurement, and ALARA planning.
- Ensure compliance with industrial and nuclear safety standards, including clearance order preparation.
- Prioritize work, manage resource loading, and address risk management throughout project execution.
- Resolve schedule delays and conflicts effectively.
- Develop project schedules tailored to project complexity, tracking progress and managing critical path and float.
- Communicate project status and updates through written and oral presentations to various stakeholders, including senior management.
- Develop and maintain long-range planning strategies for assigned projects.
- Support the effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
- Provide outage support, including coordination with the Outage Control Center (OCC).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and 14 years of experience in a technical field;
- OR an AA/AS degree and 16 years of experience in a technical field;
- OR a High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of experience in a technical field. An advanced degree in a related field of study or business may be accepted in lieu of 2 years of experience.
- Project Management certification is required.
- RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification
- Construction Management Certification
- Extensive experience as a direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry, focusing on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
- Nuclear plant operator production coordination experience and work management experience in plant production work.
- Proficiency in error reduction and human performance improvement methods along with cost-effective work execution methodologies.
- Experience managing complex projects, including online work management or refueling and forced outage activities.
