Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project teams of one to five people, including planning, scheduling, and control of project and program activities. This candidate will act as a specialist for specific projects with detailed knowledge of all aspects of the projects. This Coordinator will maintain a knowledge base of new developments and technology. Additionally, will monitor projects and recommend changes to improve operating efficiency. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $32.26 - $49

Responsibilities:
- Manage small projects for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance, overseeing staff to ensure safe, quality work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare work packages and manage all aspects of project implementation, including parts procurement and ALARA planning.
- Prioritize work and manage resource loading effectively.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs against budgets and ensuring proper progress through regular communication with clients, engineers, and management.
- Develop and manage contracts while interfacing with vendors.
- Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various stakeholders, including senior management.
- Develop and maintain long-range planning strategies associated with assigned projects.
- Support the effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
- Provide outage support, including coordination with the Outage Control Center (OCC).
- Resolve schedule delays and conflicts to maintain project timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university AND 1 year of experience in a technical field
- OR Associates degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from accredited college or university AND 3 years experience in a technical field
- OR High School Diploma/GED AND 5 years experience in a technical field
- Project Management Certification
- Construction Management Certification
- Commercial Nuclear Experience
- Basic project management techniques
- Understanding of core values related to human performance and cost-effective work execution
- Proficiency in computer software tools (MS Office)
- Familiarity with error reduction and human performance improvement methods
- Knowledge of cost-effective work execution methodologies
- Experience in managing projects, online work management, refueling, and forced outage management activities
- Understanding of engineering principles and standard project management techniques
