Event Certified Flaggers for Traffic Control

1 Day Event - Sept 21st, 2024

$31.50/hr | 10-14hrs | $315-$441 | Plus transportation reimbursement over 25 miles one way

*Washington LaborMax is in need of several certified Flaggers to assist with traffic control for the upcoming Ironman Triathlon. This will be for one day (approximately 10-14 hours) and will be from early morning until the end of the race. We will be providing safety for and protecting the bicyclists from traffic along a 20+ mile route during the bike portion of the triathlon. You will be paid the following Monday for this position. *

*This would be a great opportunity for you to sign up with us and work as a flagger out of our Spokane, Tacoma, and/or Everett locations part time, on-call, weekends, and/or for storm-call as well! *

LaborMax managers will be onsite for the whole event giving breaks, handing out water and snacks, and providing additional support to crews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Using WSDOT/MUTCD standards to control traffic and set up traffic control devices on the road
• Maintains a professional mannerism at all times while communicating with the drivers, crews, and their flagging partner(s)
• Work the whole event start to finish
• Work with the crews to manage and set up their work site quickly and efficiently and be ready to make last minute changes as needed
• Stand in one place for the whole shift (up to 14 hours)

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Washington State Flaggers Certification Card

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred
