Description This is a combined posting for an Associate Emergency Technician and Emergency Technician. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Under the direction of the Unit Manager, and under the supervision of the ED/FSED Charge nurse, assists the registered nurse, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and physician in the ED/FSED in giving designated care to the patient under their direct supervision; and performs a variety of other related duties to assist in the throughput of patients in the ED/FSED. Shift Details: Associate Emergency Technician: 0.9, Variable Shift, 36 working hours per week Emergency Technician: 0.9, Variable Shift, 36 working hours per week Associate Emergency Technician: Required qualifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. Preferred qualifications: 1 year of Hospital, physician office, emergency services, or other medical setting. Emergency Technician: Required qualifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire Washington Medical Assistant Registration - with the Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification within 60 days of hire Preferred qualifications: 1 year of Hospital, physician office, emergency services, or other medical setting.
