We are offering an engaging opportunity in the Non-Profit sector, centrally located in RICHLAND, Michigan. We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist who can carry out a variety of responsibilities, ensuring smooth operation of our accounting department.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage and process employee payrolls on a bi-weekly basis while adhering to all state, federal regulations, and district policies.

• Support the accounting department by performing operational tasks as needed.

• Prepare, monitor, and verify all employee timesheets, absences, pay adjustments, and increments.

• Maintain and update records and reports related to payroll.

• Handle all payroll disbursements and input new employee payroll and benefit information.

• Manage and process employee deductions and oversee the ACH direct deposit program.

• Stay updated with all payrolls related items and retirement legislation information.

• Process and maintain Section 125 Cafeteria Plans.

• Prepare and maintain district payment processor reports and deposits.

• Reconcile monthly insurance invoice.

• Prepare and process accounting entries and payments.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar

• Proven experience in processing payroll for 101 - 500 employees

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets, using complex formulas, and data analysis

• Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle payroll processes

• Prior experience in educational institutions is a plus

• Ability to process bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner

• Experience in payroll management, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

• Commitment to working in a non-profit environment and contributing to team goals.
