We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Facilities and Maintenance Technician to join our team in Richardson, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure smooth and safe operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in facilities management, be proactive in identifying maintenance needs, and ensure that all work complies with safety regulations. The hours will be 7:00am-3:30pm with a thirty minute lunch.

What You Will Do:

• Under minimum supervision, becomes involved in the construction, repair and maintenance of buildings and equipment.

• Must be familiar with major areas involved in the maintenance of facilities and equipment (plumbing, HVAC and electrical).

• May direct and assist lower grade maintenance operators.

• Must be able to read from blueprints and schematics.

• Major areas of responsibility include electrical maintenance/installation, assembly, welding and general construction.

• Must have familiarity and working knowledge of all types of power hand and stationary tools.

• Must be familiar with applicable workmanship standards.

• A state approved Journeyman electrician’s license is highly preferred.

• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

• This is a role within our Bargaining Unit.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• A state approved Journeyman electrician’s license.

• Active/Current Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance preferred.
