Primary Place of Work Rhome TX Job Purpose The shipping and receiving position prepares, receives, and ships various materials and verifies and submits documents on incoming and outgoing shipments. Key Responsibilities Coordinate all incoming freight, receive and unload incoming materials and compares information on packing slip to purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers. Inspect all incoming RMA (return to manufacturer) cylinders and complete inspection sheet. Prepare all cylinders for outgoing shipment, and prepare the BOL (bill of laden). Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health and safety Act as a back-up to other departments as necessary Other duties as assigned Physical Job Requirements Must be able to drive forklift safely Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications Essential High School Diploma or GED required Previous experience in shipping/receiving or working with LTL carriers preferred Hazmat Certification Fort Lift Certification License Material Handling equipment familiarity Able to use Microsoft word and excel or equivalent.
