A-Gas Americas is looking for a full-time Equipment Assembly Technician for our expanded shop in Haslet, Texas. The role involves maintaining proprietary gas recovery machines, creating new builds, fulfilling internal store order requests, and managing inventory. Strong mechanical skills or experience in machine building and part assembly are required.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Responsibilities
Assembling our market-leading, proprietary recovery machines. Build work will be completed utilizing existing parts
Testing (QC) equipment before sending it out to the network
Repairing recovery equipment that is returned from the field requiring major overhaul/refurbishment
Work with internal engineering resources to develop/test new processing equipment
Maintaining Rapid equipment skids: vacuum pump skids, liquid pump skids, compressor skids
General PMs and repairs
Communicate with necessary teams to ensure that each maintenance task or request is executed in accordance with our company standard
Rapid Recovery Store Responsibilities
Fulfilling incoming orders: pulling and shipping orders timely
Maintaining the store in an organized fashion
Tracking of inventory levels for parts in the store
Ensuring that orders are shipped through Rapid Freight through coordination with the Logistics team.
Communication with network locations on shipping dates and providing tracking numbers and other necessary information
Building/part creation for the store (For example hoses, custom reservoirs, fittings)
Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health and safety and carry out tasks in a safe manner as detailed in the standard operational procedures, so as to protect the health and safety of yourself and others.
Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED required
2+ years related industry or mechanical experience preferred
Must hold a state-issued driver's license, be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record
Must have the ability to work flexible hours, overtime may be required
Must possess the technical knowledge to perform the job and follow all safety procedures
Computer skills required with the ability to type and utilize current technology
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers
Ability to obtain EPA universal certification within 90 days of employment
Welding (GMAW/GTAW) and Fabrication experience required
