Specifically, the Paint Crew Leader is responsible for leading the paint department on all job activities required to support production processes. The Paint Crew Leader will have direct contact with employees and supervisors for proper instruction. These activities include but are not limited to: supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in the paint process applying knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products. Other responsibilities: Support workers to complete assignments within allotted time, conforming to internal requirements, customer specification, company practice, and other applicable industrial standards Observe and instruct others in proper equipment use. Meet all project deadlines; complete all assignments in a timely fashion to meet production deadlines Diagnoses problems with any portion of a completed painted product and install/repair as needed Orders parts for repairs/assembly and completion of work as needed Train and evaluate new employees in the department as needed Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals Confer with other supervisors, managers and other employees to coordinate activities of the Paint department Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures. Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work area Properly use personal protective equipment when required Maintain regular attendance - have reliable means of transportation Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Any technical or vocational education/training in relation to skills listed below is also desirable. Must have knowledge to read and understand blueprints Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available) Must be able to pass a background check and pre employment drug test Team player - must be abl
