ICF Survey Project Manager in Reston, Virginia

Description

ICF’s Research Science, Survey Solutions and Data Modernization (RS3DM) portfolio has an immediate opening for a Survey Project Manager with considerable and demonstrable experience managing complex survey data collection and data capture efforts. RS3DM works regularly with federal and state government, nonprofit, for-profit, and academic clients such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Cancer Institute, the National Science Foundation, multiple state and city health departments, and multiple health nonprofits.

In this role you will work with experienced ICF project directors to oversee contract- and performance-related activities, develop and track timelines, milestones, and deliverables, provide technical consultation and data collection expertise to project and task teams, facilitate weekly progress calls, create monthly status reports and review all final deliverables. The project manager will also work with project directors to monitor project budgets and supervise project staff. This is a full-time position, with an immediate assignment for up to 50% time as the project manager on an exciting and innovative public health surveillance project. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset and be excited to work in the project manager role with the goal of learning and executing all the aspects of the project director position, ideally to assume that role in the future.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Success in this position will rely on the following:

  • A master’s degree in social science (e.g., sociology, psychology, economics), mathematics, statistics, data science or public health.

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience managing and implementing large and complex survey data collection efforts as described above.

  • Evidence of career progression in survey management roles with increased difficulty and responsibility.

  • Experience managing cross functional teams in the creation, testing, deployment, of phone and web-based surveys and applications to manage study implementation.

  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of data collection project Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Demonstrating experience with any of the following will be a plus:

  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of internal staff, outside clients and vendors.

  • Launching and scaling up new projects.

  • Phone and face-to-face interviewer training development and implementation.

  • Implementation and maintenance of required project data confidentiality procedures and system security.

  • Experience with project management and quality control tools (Jira, MSProject, Smartsheet, etc.)

  • Developing, monitoring, and improving data management processes for large public health data collection programs.

  • Public health surveillance.

  • Recruitment, engagement, and ongoing partnership with vulnerable and underserved populations.

  • Qualitative data collection, management coding and analysis.

  • Involvement in business development, including capture planning, proposal writing and budgeting.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$76,848.00 - $130,642.00
