Job Title: Instrument Operator

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Instrument Operator and contribute to vital civil engineering and land development projects. In this role, you will be a crucial member of a two-person crew, responsible for ensuring the precision and accuracy of field survey data. Your daily tasks will include adhering to safety regulations, maintaining survey instruments, obtaining accurate field locations with correct coding for 'field to finish' mapping products, performing construction stakeouts, and taking clear, concise field notes. You will report to Reston every day before heading out to sites in DC/VA.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Reston, Virginia.

Work Environment

Work will primarily be conducted on construction sites under all weather conditions. In DC, the work environment includes small spaces with limited parking and a commercial renovation site. The pace is fast in the field and very deadline intensive, while the office environment remains relatively quiet. The company's owners are actively involved in daily operations, ensuring a connected and responsive workplace.
