ICF Software Engineer II in Reston, Virginia

Description

Software Developer - Remote

This position can be 100% remote anywhere in the US.

As a Software Engineer supporting the Health Engineering Services (HES) department at ICF you play the central role in driving innovation and using technology to drive connection through a multi-channel experience. If you have an incredible passion for innovative technology development and enjoy working with clients, ICF is the place for you. You should have experience with common development tools, techniques, and numerous programming languages. All team members are very dynamic with experience delivering end-to-end solutions, quite often skilled in front-end and back-end technologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop using complex skills and follow ICF coding standards.

  • Stay up to date on assigned specialties, work on expanding to others.Mentor others based on what you’re expert in.

  • Bring new ideas, tools, services, and techniques to the group.

  • Use analytical thinking to make decisions based on facts and metrics whenever possible.

  • Be willing to step up and lead initiatives at, or slightly above your title. (Proving that you can operate at a higher level than your current title is part of the evaluation process for promotions).

  • Work harmoniously with all Technology team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters.

  • Demonstrate a desire to learn and accept new challenges.

  • Foster asynchronous communication approaches and thrive in remote working environments as a side of your core skills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics or similar.

  • 3 years - experience in full cycle software engineering.

  • 3 years – React development experience.

  • 2 years – CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and TypeScript Web Components experience.

  • 1 year - cloud environment experience.

  • 1 year - test driven development.

  • 1 year working with technologies such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Mural, Insomnia, Splunk, New Relic, Adobe Analytics, GitHub, and Phrase.

  • 1 year – Working in CI/CD pipeline environment.

  • 1 year experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment.

  • Good communication skills; both written and verbal.

  • Must live and work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a team environment.

  • Experience working with a consultancy group.

  • Experience working in healthcare.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$71,958.00 - $122,328.00
