Profile Summary:
LinQuest Corporation is seeking a Senior AFSIM Modeler/Operations Research Analyst who possesses innate curiosity, creativity, adaptive, problem-solving mindset to join our team supporting an exciting and dynamic effort for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) on location in Reston, VA. The Senior AFSIM Modeler/Operations Research Analyst supports a multi-disciplinary team of operational military subject matter expert, operation research analysts and modelers conducting sponsored directed studies and analyses of complex kill webs.
Responsibilities:
Develop architecture, platform, weapon, system and behavior models.
Develop and execute an experiment design approach, identify key metrics for simulation output, analyze results, generate insights and information and present findings to DOD Senior Leaders.
Conduct pre-and post-simulation analyses as needed.
Apply data analysis techniques to complex simulation output.
Support the conduct of studies for senior level military decision makers, technology developers, acquisitions professionals for use in CONOPS development, force structure design, resource allocation and target t3echnology insertion.
Lead technical teams and or tasks
Required Skills:
TS/SCI clearance and US Citizenship is required
High Level of proficiency in AFSIM development/modeling/scripting, to include both implicit and explicit modeling techniques
Proficient in data analyses tools such as Python, JupyterLab R, MATLAB, etc.
Strong technical project management skills
Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high preforming team
Ability to coordinate with government and external contractor stakeholders to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify objectives
Ability to lead and mentor a technical team
Excellent communication skills
BA in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathemetics, Probability or related field with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
Experience implementing AFSIM models and scenarios to information executive decision making
Eligible for SAP access
US Citizenship
Preferred Skills:
Understands software/systems engineering principles and can identify data exchange requirements between software modules and or subsystems
Familiarity with one of more mission level modeling and simulation environments such has NGTS, ITASE, etc. In addition to AFSIM proficiency
Knowledge and experience in Joint warfighting capabilities, advance weapons, and current and future operational concepts as we as modeling and simulation of the same
Experience supporting complex studies
Experience with C++ and development of AFSIM APIS
Experience working within a Linux environment
Master's degree in computer science, Operations Research, Applied Mathemetics, Probability or related field with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from approximately $168,000 to $182,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
