Senior Accountant, Corporate General Ledger (Hybrid)

ICF is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, Corporate General Ledger , who will report directly to the Manager, Corporate General Ledger. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, maintaining cost pools in Costpoint and participating in month, quarter, and year-end closing processes. You will collaborate with colleagues across the organization, therefore, exceptional communication and analytical skills are essential.

This is a hybrid role working from our global headquarters in Reston, VA.

  

What You Will Do:

  • Participate in the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, performing account analysis, and preparing balance sheet account reconciliations. 

  • Maintain cost pools in Costpoint.

  • Research and follow-up on reconciling items for assigned areas.  

  • Ensure assigned tasks/processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner. 

  • Ensure accounting practices and documentation procedures are performed in accordance with GAAP and ICF policies. 

  • Assist with providing documentation for both internal and external auditor requests. 

  • Provide ad hoc analysis to management. 

  • Work with other accounting organization functions including facilities to ensure appropriate accounting treatment. 

  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives. 

What You Will Bring With You:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or closely related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting,including financial reporting. 

  • Experience working with U.S. GAAP. 

  • Experience working with MS Excel.   

      

What We’d Like You To Bring With You:

  • CPA.

  • Experience with Costpoint and Cognos.

  • Experience with BlackLine.

  • Proficiencywith MS 365.

  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff as well as outside clients and vendors.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$79,643.00 - $135,392.00
