ICF is seeking someone to provide on-call Public Outreach support. This is an on-call hourly position. You will join the Environmental and Planning Stakeholder Engagement Practice and provide strategic communications, engagement, and outreach support to clients and sectors across the U.S. You will provide administrative support on meeting logistics and organization. Position is remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. This position has the potential to become a full-time position depending on project needs, performance, and your availability.

About On-Call Employment with ICF:

Given the project-specific nature of our environmental work, ICF often hires environmental professionals as “On-Call” employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available, and each on-call employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (along as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF). The pay range listed for this position is required to be provided in a salaried format, but your work would be paid on an hourly basis.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage meeting and outreach logistics.

  • Support and/or run public meetings (virtual and in-person).

  • Assist project managers and community engagement leads to manage stakeholder engagement tasks and develop outreach materials.

  • Work with clients to develop strategic communication and engagement plans to implement their projects.

  • Work with project managers to take meeting notes and coordinate scheduling logistics.

What you must have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2+ years of professional experience in communications, engagement, outreach, public relations, public affairs and/or related experience

Professional skills you will use:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$57,737.00 - $98,153.00
