SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and versatile professional to join our team as a Project Engineer! This role will have a strong project management focus and encompasses multiple functions, including electrical engineering, network engineering, systems administration, and lab management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing projects aimed at maintaining and modernizing our lab environments, as well as overseeing procurement and inventory processes.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist the Lab Manager with the overall project management activities across the program

• Ensure all LAN maintenance and scanning activities meet sponsor requirements and InfoSec standards

• Manage the transition of all low-side/standalone systems to high-side environments

• Ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency with lab system transitions

• Gain proficiency in characterization methods and techniques used in various lab environments

• Ensure technical knowledge growth to provide engineering support and backup for Lab Manager within a year

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance to be considered

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering strongly preferred but will consider related field

• Minimum of 9 years working in a related engineering field

• Ability to lead and manage technical projects that cross multidiscipline engineering projects

• Strong technical background with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new methods and technologies

Desired Skills:

• Experience in managing the repair and modernization of standalone LANs

• Proven experience as a systems administrator, including maintaining and scanning LANs.

• Experience with system engineering methodologies
