We are actively hiring a Chinese Linguist to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The linguist will specialize in the translation of highly complex technical information in the Chinese-langauge that can span over a number of topics.

  • The linguist requiurs polished skills in core linguistic functions and linguistic services. 

  • The linguist core functions of translation, transcription, and interpretation are key deliverables.

  • Work will be performed during ordinary hours (e.g., 7-6) in an ordinary work week (Monday-Friday).

  • Local travel/POV will be on an as-needed basis within the WMA

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree desired

  • Translation into English

  • Collection from published, online and broadcast media

  • Content Management

  • Scanning

  • Selection

  • Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise

  • Translation Related Services

  • Writing reports

    PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Quality Control of language products

  • Subject Matter Expertise in Counterproliferation, Cyber, Economics, Geospatial, Military, and Science and Technology areas of focus
