Description Under the general supervision of the Director and/or Manager of Engineering, assists in providing oversight of maintenance staff, customer service calls, and specialty projects. This includes the ability to make sound operational related judgments in order to ensure a safe and operational environment. Performs both minor and major repairs, troubleshooting and modifications on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems throughout the facility. Trains co-workers to maintain and operate Fire sprinkler system and equipment including Fire pumps, sprinkler risers and auxiliary drains. Required qualifications: 5 years of experience in general maintenance or fire and life safety systems. 2years of hospital experience. General background in all around mechanical work. Preferred qualifications: Coursework/Training: Certified course completion of NFPA Codes and standards. Certified in maintenance and operation of Fire alarm systems upon hire.
