*TITLE: *CT Technologist
JOB OVERVIEW: Works under the guidance of the Lead technologist, Manager, Director and the Radiologists. CT Techs are responsible for performing CT procedures producing quality imagery as well as maintaining and practicing proper radiation safety. They will perform a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Complies with all center policies and procedures and maintains a professional appearance and demeanor. Acts in support and in the best interest of the center.
AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: Radiology HOURS OF WORK: Variable RESPONSIBLE TO: Radiology Manager PREREQUISITES:
- Current ARRT + CT certification preferred. (New Hires after 8/25/22 must obtain CT certification within 12 calendar months of hire.)
- Washington State Technologist Certification.
- Currently working as a full-time CT technologist with a minimum of one year of experience preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills working in an out-patient environment.
- Experience in vascular imaging preferred.
- Multi-channel scanner experience preferred.
- Screening CT experience.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proof of exceptional work performance.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Able to set priorities, work accurately, and organize work efficiently.
- Able to communicate effectively in oral and written form in English.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Neat and well groomed in appearance.
- Past history of demonstrated good attendance.
- Demonstrated behavior consistent with Valley Values and Performance Guidelines.
UNIQUE PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT, AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires working as part of a team at the direction of the Lead Technologist, Center Manager, or Radiologist to maintain effective operations. This includes lifting and carrying throughout the facility weighing up to thirty pounds. This position also requires manipulating and maneuvering patients for their procedures, standing sitting, walking swiftly, pulling, bending and reaching up overhead. Requires moving quickly from one area to another under changing conditions depending on the workload. Requires ability to file accurately by color as well as alphabetical and numerical. Requires typing, legible penmanship, and computer data entry skills. Excellent telephone skills are essential for answering phone calls. Requires patient escort and transport ability, with the need to push patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers. Requires working around x-ray equipment and wearing lead aprons weighing twenty pounds. Regular and punctual attendance is a condition of employment.
