Job Description

Clinic Network

*TITLE: *Clinic Coordinator-LPN/MA

*AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: *Clinic Network

*HOURS OF WORK: *Days

*RESPONSIBLE TO: *Clinic Manager

Prerequisites:

Licenced Practical Nurse (LPN)

Medical Assistant (MA)

  1. Current license to practice as an LPN in the state of Washington.

  2. Two years' experience in a clinic/outpatient setting preferred.

  3. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of information technology.

  4. Valid Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation Card (CPR).

     

  5. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program

  6. Meet the state requirement for Medical Assistant Certified

  7. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of information technology.

  8. Two years' experience in a clinic/outpatient setting preferred.

  9. Valid Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation Card (CPR).

  1. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of the RN, LPN, and MA role and scope of practice.

  2. Demonstrates ability to act independently within the scope of the practice.

  3. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills.

  4. Demonstrates clear and direct communication skills with a diverse population.

  5. Demonstrates leadership ability, as well as ability to assess, problem solve and effectively make decisions.

  6. Demonstrate flexibility and manageability of multiple demands.

  7. Ability to communicate and work effectively with the physical and emotional development of all age groups

  8. Ability to communicate effectively, in oral and written form, in the English language

Disease and Population Management

  1. Provides patient education in conjunction with the RN using approved educational resources.

  2. In collaboration with RN Care Manager, monitors ED Utilization and hospital discharge processes.

  3. Participates in supporting the Disease and Population Management goals and initiatives; utilizing existing educational tools, limited to the role and scope of LPN or MA.

  4. Assist with Referral Navigation.

  5. Assist staff with challenging patient interactions.

Leadership

Responsible for providing first line of defense back-up to the MA's during staffing or volume fluctuations.

Conducts review of schedules
