WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information, maintaining accurate financial records, and generating reports that track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, especially in Project and/or fixed asset accounting, and a proactive approach to supporting financial operations across the organization.

Reporting to the Controller you’ll primarily work with our accounting team and business to deliver the best-in-class accounting practices, service and support.

A highlight of your day-to-day will include:

• Process Improvement: Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of accounting processes. Assist in the implementation of process improvements across the operational branches.

• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain records for fixed assets, track additions and deletions, calculate monthly depreciation and rent amounts, and manage Construction in Progress (CIP) tools. Conduct monthly meetings to update CIP and determine asset status.

• General Ledger Management: Oversee the General Ledger for Equipment Leasing companies, ensuring accurate preparation and recording of accounts receivable/payable entries, monthly journal entries, and reconciliation of bank accounts. Prepare monthly financial statements and compliance reports as needed.

• Month-End Close Support: Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring proper posting of journal entries and cost capture, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and supporting the main account reconciliation.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for managing and improving our accounting practices and comes with the following skills, education and experience

• BA Degree in Accounting required, (CPA preferred)

• 3+ years of strong technical accounting experience (Public accounting experience a plus)

• GL accounting, journal entries, project accounting

• Extensive Excel experience
