SUMMARY:

The Project Manager of Construction/Launch Team will serve as the lead for multiple construction projects including new fulfillment centers site renovations, process improvement and new business strategies. The ideal candidate should have a deep functional understanding of warehouse operations and flow, facility design and CAD drawings, strong interpersonal/leadership skills, and material handling system installations that will be used in performing these tasks. Required to establish projects expectations, plan development, communications/coordinations, benchmark attainment, tracking, to ensure goals/timelines are met. The Project Manager will combine deep operational expertise with strong project management skills to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and operational efficiency. This includes detailed follow-up after launch, robust lessons learned analysis, and continuous improvement of the launch process.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

- - Bachelors degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field. - PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred. - Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably within a start-up or high-growth environment. - Proven track record of efficiently leading projects from initiation to completion.

  • Skills:
    • Strong analytics and communications background (e.g., math, statistics, quantitative methods, and verbal and writing proficiency)
    • Perform business requirements analysis and design
    • Act as the primary liaison between operations leadership and vendors
    • Perform gap analysis between physical processes and future operations needs and have the ability to vet project requests and prioritize them accordingly
    • Build structured prioritization and change management processes
    • Identify and recommend operations improvement opportunities to meet ever increasing business requirements
    • Comprehensive computer application skills - Office, Project, CAD
    • Knowledgeable of contract language and accounting functions
    • Cross functional team management experience
    • Must have experience and knowledge of warehouse operations, manufacturing and/or materials handling systems

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Project Planning:

Prepare, publish, distribute and maintain a project timeline with metrics for all cross-functional partners.

Build bid packages, negotiate any revisions to vendor bids, and facilitates project scope changes.

Prepare a concise and detailed commissioning plan and acceptance testing, leading commissioning activities of vendors and ensures operations acceptance.

Project Execution:

Monitor project progress, incorporate resolutions to potential project delays and communicates project status to leadership on a timely basis.
