SUMMARY:

The purpose of the pharmacy technician is to assist and support the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications for Northern Nevada HOPES patients.

The pharmacy technician serves patients by processing, filling, and dispensing medications under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. They will provide support to patients, the pharmacy team and to the greater multidisciplinary team. Pharmacy technicians ensure that patients receive the support, medications, and resources needed to achieve overall wellness and being.

We are a certified Patient-Centered Medical Home, recognized by the National Commission on Quality Assurance

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

*Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services. For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES. Accordingly, you hereby acknowledge and understand that if you are receiving services from a HOPES Behavioral Health provider at the time you are offered and accept employment with HOPES, you have the option of rescinding your acceptance of employment or finding a new behavioral health provider outside of HOPES before starting employment with HOPES.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pharmacy Technician license in good standing in the State of Nevada required.
  • Superior knowledge of Pharmacy Insurance Billing required.
  • Proven ability to maintain professional conduct required.
  • Able to multitask, detailed oriented, and flexible work schedule as assigned required.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with all team members required.
  • Valid BLS required prior to hire, per HRSA compliance
  • 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
  • Able to work a Monday thru Friday schedule preferred.
