The Maintenance Supervisor ensures operational readiness of all equipment and facilities.

Maintains systems and equipment by assuring the completion of preventative maintenance schedules and repairs including rebuilding and replacing of worn or failing components and parts.

Leads a direct staff and works with staff on performance development including coaching. Ensures high standards of work and safety are maintained.

WhatYouDo:

•Monitors and maintains function and reliability of facility, facility fixtures/equipment and MHE equipment in a safe operable condition; improves function and reliability by studying repetitive issues, and recommends and implements changes as approved.

•Responsible for maintaining organization of parts inventory and other supplies as needed including monitoring stock levels and providing verbal and written feedback on parts and supplies that are needed.

•Trains employees on safety and maintenance topics including but not limited to equipment repair, facility systems, MHE equipment and effective utilization of documentation and maintenance logs.

•Accomplishes maintenance objectives by training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and correcting unacceptable behavior; communicating job expectations; monitoring job performance; performing annual performance reviews; and assuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

•Communicates regularly with all maintenance employees through weekly startup meetings and other meetings as required; meets individually as necessary to ensure two-way communications concerning maintenance issues on same shift or across shifts.

•Schedules maintenance team members to provide coverage for operations, preventative maintenance and projects including supervising the proper completion of all maintenance and repair work.

•Develops, implements, and reviews site-specific maintenance procedures and logs for the facility; creates maintenance logs to establish metrics and distributes daily shift reports.

•Maintains compliance with city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department and facility.

Knowledge&Experience:

•5 years mechanical and electrical maintenance plus 3 years or more supervisory or lead experience in a production facility or distribution center is preferred.

•Proven experience maintaining facilities and equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sorters and conveyor systems.

•Must have excellent organizational, documentation and communication skills including computer proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

•Able to learn and master specialized software such as BMS and VMS, CMMS experience a plus.

•Effective verbal and written communication skills required to keep organized records and send daily shift updates.

•Continuous body movement and the ability to stand, sit or crouch for long periods of time, must be willing and able to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights to 45ft and in uncomfortable positions. Must have the ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. alone and 100 lbs. with help. Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions.

•Must have the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.

•Must be able to interview and make recommendations to hire candidates for maintenance positions, as well as complete thorough and objective performance evaluations and improvement plans.
