WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Manager is a key position in our Environmental Health and Safety organization at Jensen Precast. This position is responsible for implementing, administering, and improving environmental programs, improving the site safety culture, assisting management in environmental activities, and ensuring operations follow local, state, and federal environmental regulations at all Jensen Precast operating locations.

Reporting to our Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety, you will primarily work with Plant Operations teams (General Managers, other EH&S professionals and our corporate leadership team in an effort to maintain a culture where employees at all levels understand environmental processes and are committed to maintaining a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.

Some of your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Managing the implementation of all environmental programs to ensure a safe environment and compliance with environmental standards and best practices.

• Supporting plant and field EH&S staff to implement and drive the company’s environmental compliance and safety culture.

• Supporting the design and development of environmental training; maintaining oversight of training records and corrective action follow-up. Occasionally presenting training material.

• Providing technical expertise and support for the environmental system to facility managers, safety committees, and technicians.

• Supporting the development and administration of incident investigation programs and corrective actions.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You bring a demonstrated experience in EH&S compliance, preferably in an industrial environment. You don’t take shortcuts. You’re safety conscious not just for yourself, but for your team. A few other attributes important to this role include:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or environmental sciences or equivalent related work experience.

• Five or more years’ environmental experience preferably associated with construction or building materials or other heavy manufacturing processes.

• The ability to drive results in a multi-plant/multi-state environment.
