SAIC Senior GIS Cybersecurity Analyst in REMOTE WORK, District Of Columbia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior GIS Cybersecurity Analyst to support our DOI Customer. The candidate will be the primary point of contact for cloud system security and work directly with the GeoPlatform Executive Management Team. This role is fully remote and can be worked from anywhere within the United States.

The Cybersecurity Analyst to work on a dynamic, energized team on a leading edge technology program with an exciting mission critical to DOI objectives.  As the Cybersecurity Analyst, you are responsible for all aspects of security services for the program, to include monitoring, vulnerability scanning/management, and incident detection and response services, to protect endpoints, email, web, systems, applications, and networks from security breaches and attacks, for overall sustainment and O&M efforts for all of DOI OCIO GeoPlatform’s planned and existing portfolio of applications IAW DoD and DCSA cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards, including RMF and STIG compliance standards.

The Cybersecurity Analyst designs, tests, and implements secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions. Conducts risk and vulnerability assessment at the network, system and application level. Conducts threat modeling exercises. Develops and implements security controls and formulates operational risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programs. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Researches, evaluates and recommends new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust background check.

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years of experienceor more of related experience; Masters and seven (7)years or more experience; PhD or JD and four(4) years or more experience.

  • Cybersecurity processes and procedures.

  • Ability to provide high level summary of results and draw conclusions based on interpretation of data.

  • Background in cybersecurity services such as monitoring, scanning and incident detection.

Desired:

  • CISM, CISSP, GSLC, IAM Level III Certification

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
